Lina’s Congress was very successful

Many lives were changed at Lina’s womens congress

Many of you were praying for Lina’s Women’s Congress. There were 733 registered for the three days and more than a thousand attended daily as it was open to the public in the evenings. She wants to thank the churches and individuals who gave so generously, so many could attend who lived outside of Santiago. It was a great event and greatly blessed by the Lord. The speakers were very good and there were also many Pastors and Bishops who attended the event. One of the Bishops, Edito Espinozo, said, “This was the best women’s event in history of Chile.” Many women have continued to be in contact asking for help and also offering to be part of this ministry. One of the highlights was a speech given by the Government's Minister of Women, Mrs. Cecilia Pérez. Although she is not a Christian, she said, she was very thankful that there are Christian organizations like ours who are interested in helping the family. Lina is now sending out many follow-up letters encouraging women. The future plans are to have a leadership training seminar in April 2005.

Lina and I are greatly excited to what the Lord is doing and our days are filled with activities to further His Kingdom; whether it be sharing Christ, building the body of Christ or sending the message to the nations.

I recorded three large Christian events during September and October. Lina’s three day woman’s congress kept us busy recording from 9 AM until 10 PM every day. It has taken us several weeks after each event to do the editing and duplicating. The messages that were recorded are now on the internet and people around the world are being blessed by them. Another large event recorded was Evangelist Dr. Luis Palau speaking at a large missions congress in Bellingham. Some of you who were there, I am sure, found his messages very up lifting and inspiring. His final message, in English, is now on the internet. Paul, my son, and I made a quick trip to Mexico where we recorded the Arpa Awards. This is the Christian Academy that gives out the awards for the best Christian music for the Spanish speaking world. We have now posted that on our web site. Our web site was up for an award at that time also, but it was given to a site in Miami. Maybe next year.

We are in preparation of making an evangelistic Christian TV program based on music and interviews to reach out to youth ages 14-26. Once we have a number of them done, we plan to offer it to TV stations throughout Latin America.  

Internet site brings blessings

“The reason I am writing is that I read in your site an article about sex and how to educate your children. This article made an impact and greatly affected me. In my adolescence I acted just like you said with no brakes on sex, but I praise the Lord that He brought along my wife Carmen and with her I have felt closer to the Lord especially when we are studying the Bible and assisting the church. I hope you can give some advice on how I can educate my daughter and my family in the ways of the Lord . We live in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico.  My wife and I are architects and I work in the government.”
